Oh, Carlos.

Art.
Life.
Whatever.

Light installationist extraordinaire Erwin Reidl lives in my hometown.  All throughout the year, he and his assistants pile into a van at nightfall, drive to various parking lots of mega-churches and outlet stores and set up airborne light art, propelled through the sky by kites or weather balloons.  I have tried and failed many times to capture these on film, but I must tell you, there are so few things that give me the stab of joy I get when driving down I-75 and seeing his work illuminate the sky.

(P.S.: Once, my mom drove to the source and met him, but I am far, far too shy.)
