Yayoi Kusama, The Gleaming Lights of the Souls (Liverpool Biennial, 2008).
Lately, I’ve been catching myself trolling YouTube for video footage of high-profile art events that, for geographical reasons, I’m not able to attend. I don’t expect anything like a James Kalm play-by-play (love him for that, though) but it’s a bit disappointing that the websites for these things are filled with flash animation bells and whilstles, yet they can’t take the time to walk through some of the more “you kinka have to be there…” installations with a decent camera, for those of us stuck in Ohio or Kazakhstan. I want to see the Gleaming Lights change colors.
Just a gentle nag.
