Trek Thunder Kelly, The Suicide of Frida Kahlo (2004).
I can overlook the fact that his name sounds like that of one of Sarah Palin’s children because Trek Thunder Kelly makes fantastic pop portraits that comment insightfuly on America’s heavy consumption of consumer culture. His use of corporate branding operates on many levels; a satire, a celebration, to provoke outrage, then throw it back in the faces of those who are offended: after all, they probably noticed the logo first, anyway.
