Oh, Carlos.

Art.
Life.
Whatever.

Kling & Bank, Sirkus (2008).
Waaay back when I stared this blog I expressed my sincerest regrets that I never had the opportunity to visit Sirkus bar in Reykjavík.  Now, I can complain once more (ha!), because King & Bank resuscitated the legendary Icelandic watering hole for this year’s Frieze Art Fair in London.
Using the actual walls, furniture and bar that comprised Sirkus, the art collective created an exact replication of the original, complete with alcohol-soaked, smoke-filled all-nite dance parties all weekend long.  Some of the original bar’s art star patrons also showed up to celebrate the revival, most notably Ghostigital; aka Einar Örn of the Sugarcubes.
