One of my all-time favorite moments in life is going to a three-hour Kentridge lecture by Arthur Danto. I always liked the technical aspect of Kentridge’s work, but after hearing Danto speak I fell in love with the stories behind it as well.
…I wonder if it’s just coincidence that the first three letters of his name are A-R-T?
