Oh, Carlos.

Art.
Life.
Whatever.

The work of Jeff Koons perfectly embodies the idea of modern art as luxury object, much of it boldly proclaiming, “I am large, shiny and expensive.”  It should come as no surprise, then, that his 17-piece sculpture show in France would be held at Versailles.  The lavish setting lends quite an interesting context to his work, both visually as wells as for the overall meaning lent by the historical significance of the site.
